Skirt for Evani

When I last went to Oregon I was overjoyed to be able to spend time with some of my dh's nieces. He has 6 of them and being that I have no sisters, I love the girl friendly environment they add.

I also was able to spend time with one of the little grand-nieces (or at least I think that's the correct terminology for a daughter of his niece??) She was so funny and cute of course what 3 year old isn't.

She had the best time swapping all the watches on our wrists so I went out the next day and bought her her very own Hello Kitty watch so now she can enjoy her own watch and I also knew she would love this fun little Saltwater skirt.

Have to say the best thing on the internet is finding free patterns. I had lost of remnants leftover so whipped her up this adorable skirt.

The tutorial had two pockets but I only had enough for 1 but I love how it's a little gathered one.

Here is the back

And the front, but honestly you can turn this skirt and wear the pocket so it's on the right or left or even in the middle front, it's very versatile.

And I can't help showing off the inside. I serged all the seams so it looks very professional inside..just look at that..so neat and tidy.

I also have planned a Halloween circle skirt from leftover fabric from the quilt I made. Kind of wish I had enough of the other designs to make her another adorable Saltwater skirt. Maybe when I get done with my quilt I will.
