You Melt My Heart

Another keep it simple card. I must say I am getting used to the white space but Oy I so wanted to put a bunch of hearts on the card like speech bubbles but using hearts, but again I am practicing restraint.

This fun guy is from Tim Holtz crazy dog stamps. I hope one day to own the crazy cats as well. I kept the coloring simple using the Warm copic sets along with just a bit of reds and neutral greys. The sentiment was heat embossed in white.

Pet Selfie

Who doesn't love these selfie stamps from MFTS. They're so full of character. I did have the square die that I used in the center of a punched out project life card; the die wasfrom We R Memory Keepers. It  kind of resembles an old school phone.

Colored in course with copics.

Hope everyone has a Merry Christmas tomorrow and enjoy the holidays with your loved ones.

Cards for the Dogs

My friend is holding a charity event for a dog shelter where she works and asked if I would be interested in donating cards, of course I said yes. It will be held over Valentine's Day so I had a ton of just regular Vday cards but she needs more pet themed as well so over the next few weeks I will pretty much be showcasing pets.

Up first is an MFTS out of the box slimeline card that I bought the die set to. I must say when I saw all the die pieces I cringed thinking what have I done, I didn't want to have to take a class trying to figure out how to assemble these. OMG I watched 1 video and when I saw how extremely easy it was to assemble the box I was smitten. I love how the card folds up and fits into an envelope just like a regular card. I must say it is a bit more involved coloring in some extra characters but I think this is a fun card that strays from the norm. Love it!

Card for my Granddaughter

I really loved this MFTS (Rachel Anne Miller) stamp set because there are two little girls which is perfect for my two granddaughters. I tried to capture her ginger colored hair but honestly I didn't do it justice. I'm really trying to focus on clean and simple cards so this is my take on trying to leave the white space white.

Peace in Blue

This is the other card I lifted and again, really I didn't do anything original on this card. In fact I loved the font so much I cut it out using my silhouette. The font was Impact which is close to the QK die Diesel. Not sure that's what the artist used on their card but close enough.

I used the distressed ink (set of blues) on a blue piece of cardstock (thank you card class) which makes inking the card oh so easy. Leaving the middle a bit lighter.

Again the snowflakes were stamped and embossed in white. My sentiment was different as I did not have one that was used in the card but I think it worked just the same.

This is probably one of the last Christmas cards I will make for the year. Honestly not scrapping much I really depleted my birthday cards so I need to stock up on those. Although I do have a new MFTS stamp set I would like to use and one of their out of the box dies which again, I really would like to try. So who knows I might have a few more before it's all said and done.

Black and White Christmas Card

This is not my idea at all, except for the sequins. I bought this stamp set from SSS and they had example cards which had been created using the stamp set and of course I had to just lift it and did add a few sequins because lets face it I have a hard time with empty space.

I really love the stamp set.

In fact I lifted another card which I will show you later in the week. It's just so pretty seeing the white embossed on the black. Sadly the only gold I thought would work had glitter in it so it doesn't seem to have those nice crisp edges I would have liked.
