Altered Burlap Canvas

Happy Monday everyone I hope you enjoyed your weekend and more importantly I hope you enjoy your long weekend coming up. For me it will be a 4 day weekend and I am looking forward to it. No plans as of yet but I have enough ideas in my head and written down to keep me busy.

For today I am showing you an altered canvas or burlap canvas that I bought at my recent trip to Michaels. I spied these and they came in a dual pack and I thought perfect one for me and one for me dd.

I am showing hers first. Definitely wanted to do an Autumn theme here since neither her nor I have too much to display for just Fall.

I took some letters that I cut with my all time favorite QK font, Diesel. They are such a nice big block letter and I popped them up with foam pop dots which were then glued to the burlap with my trusty glue gun.  I also wanted to add a bit of cursive writing so I used my silhouette for that.

And decided a an array of fall flowers, since those reds, oranges and yellows definitely ooze fall and added some gold tulle plus a few sprigs of fall items .

All in all it only took me about an hour and I think it turned out pretty darn good if you ask me. Now come back on Wednesday and you can see what I did for mine.

  7. Oh I love it. The little tulle you used to really softened it too. Great work and I may have to try this.
