Any hoo between finishing my second quilt and going to Oregon I haven't had much scrappy time. Frankly this whole quilting thing is taking over my life and I am not sure I like it. Granted I won't be going gung ho, I like things that are easy and that means my quilts need to be as simple as possible.
In the midst of all this my mother has sold her home and is now trying to find a new place to live so I have been helping her house hunt. Here in California by the time you go to an open house its sold, it's really very crazy. But she has to move one way or the other and I decided to come up with a few cards she can send to her friends to let them know her new address. I was going to do a bunch of just one design but somehow I couldn't resist making different ones.
I don't have a stamp that says I've Moved so I had to resort to some alpha stamps, not all that fond of them but hey they do the job.
So here are the first two.
I colored this one with copics
And this one was painted with watercolor crayons.
Sweet cards, Leslie, hope her house hunt goes well!
ReplyDeleteI'm sorry about your mil 😓 I'm sure it's super hard for you fil , that's a long time to be married.
ReplyDeleteI really love your cards, those houses are super cute!
still gorgeous cards with all that was going on, can i ask what are alpha stamps? is that a digital file ?
ReplyDeleteBoth cards really cute! You did well with the alphabet stamps, the font work nicely!!
ReplyDeleteI love both your cards, but especially the little bird houses on your second card. Would you mind sharing what stamps they are?
ReplyDeleteThe first card uses a stamp by Judith while the second card is a stamp by Unity Stamp co which may be retired. I bought it some time ago at an Expo.
DeleteLeslie, I also like your cards very much. Can you tell me what kind of stamps you used? I "want" them! Greetings, Anke

DeleteWhat a clever idea to make moving cards for her. Hope everything settles down for you now.
