So here is another TGF card just for fun. I recently escaped to the Scrapbook Expo and this was one of the projects I accomplished between all the socializing and shopping. Again using up some older Basic Grey product and the adorable TGF stamp is Cheeky Geek, one of my favorites.
And in case your wondering, no I didn't lug a sewing machine with me, I actually made up kits before hand so it was pretty simple to assemble and color. So the card base was done ahead of time. I also did this with my layouts (pre designed) and have to say I was much more productive this time than any other by actually accomplishing finished projects. It was a great feeling.
Hi there, this is my little spot in the world where I can share with you some of the passions of my life. I hope you find this a place of inspiration that you can use or share. If you find something you like please feel free to "scraplift me" as they say, you can credit me or not either way I don't mind, just enjoy the journey.

Celebrate Christmas
So continuing on with the Christmas pictures. This is my middle grandson who is 2 years old and is basically the first time he understood about opening gifts. It was such a joy to watch him this year and I look forward to the years to come.
I used the Silhouette to cut the Celebrate title, the mini Christmas lettering was dissected from a larger Die-Version Solo Holiday Collage die and the 2012 are from some Making Memories glitter alpha stickers that I had laying around. The little embellishment Christmas Tree is from Papertrey Ink (stamped and die cut) and this pp is I want to say 8-10 years old at least? Some days I feel like I need to learn to toss out scraps but at the same time glad I hang on to them.

TGF - Springtime Flowers Challenge
This weeks TGF challenge was to use flowers, well that's easy peasy..who doesn't like flowers. I decided to use my Shimmer Bean stamps..she is so cute and opted for a punch of orange because that felt like spring to me. This is using some older Basic Grey product and I always love using up stuff I have had for a few years.

First Christmas
Ok, ok I know Christmas was months ago but alas I am just now getting to all those pictures I have taken during the holiday. I was fortunate to be able to crop at an Expo for a few days so was able to get quite a bit done, unfortunately they are mostly Christmas pages, but at least they're done, right?
So here is my youngest grandbaby who being only 4 months old didn't partake in much of the activities but was rather content to sit on grandpa's lap and help him unwrap his gifts.

One design- Two ways
So I thought I would share an example of how you can have one design but use it slightly different to get a different effect. Each card uses the same principal of a tag like shape with a stamped image matted onto a card base.
Lets take a look shall we.
Card B - Then here we have a flower stamp that I matted onto some card stock and border punched. Tied on some ribbon and a flower. Basically it's the same style of a card but just tweaked a bit differently.
Lets take a look shall we.
Card A - So here we have a cute little Easter Bunny stamp, paired with some Basic Grey and showcased on a tag that I cut with the Cameo. Actually I cut and modified because the tag was a little too large for what I wanted.
So which one is your favorite?

TGF Contest - Aqua and Chevron
Hopped on over to see what was happening at the TGF blog and saw a challenge that incorporated Aqua (lovely color) and Chevrons. I loved the look they opted for the challenge and new I needed to try it out. This was my take. Not sure what possessed me to go with circles..guess I was just feeling a bit out of the box.

PaperCrafts Home Decor - Page 48
That is where you will find the last of these Heart Boards that I made for my dd. This completes my trio which originally was a Christmas gift but alas this one was too cute and I decided to send it in for publication and PaperCrafts so graciously picked up.
And to jog your memory in case you forgot what they looked like or if you didn't get a chance to view them you can find them here;

KK Challenge 169 - Clean and Simple
Thought I needed to get some coloring in and decided to check out the KK blog for some inspiration. This week's challenge was to keep it clean and simple. So grabbed my new pad of park bench from fancy pants, a cute KK stamp (Judy) and my copics and preceded to color.
I then realized I need to do this more often {LOL}.

Time Warp
First off I apologize for being a bit tardy posting. I have a house guest and they have been staying in my crafty room so I have not had any opportunities to be creative for a spell.
So today we are going back quite a few years to another Making Memories Idol contest entry. For this round we had to use their paints (which I still love) and at the time these larger bird houses were being sold at Michaels..nowadays they all seem to be the little ones.
I basically painted, added some pp and a bit of embellies to the houses. Hot glued a wooden dowel to the house. I then bought some styrofoam and glued that into the bottom of the planters, stuck in the dowels, tied on some ribbon, added some paper grass and a few silk flowers..and voila..instant spring decoration.
I like to bring these out still to decorate for both Easter and spring even though they are a bit older looking.

Sketch Inspiration
I saw this sketch on Lori Whitlock's blog and was very inspired by it. I decided since I had these two photos of my youngest grandson that I have been wanting to scrap that they would be fitting to use for this layout.
The story behind the photos are basically that my dh was holding/playing with my grandson and laid him face down and the silly little boy fell asleep like that.
I used the new Echo Park All About A Boy Line here which I love, so without further ado here is my take on Miss Lori's sketch.

Party Prepping - Silverware Holders
I am trying to get ready for the next party at the end of April. Planning on about 40 guests so starting work now on scrappy stuff. Color Theme is Pink/Black. {50 and Fabulous}
First up are silverware holders. Part of me wants to tie ribbon and add a tag on these but I have to keep myself in check, remember I need at least 40 and understanding that just by adding ribbon and a tag doesn't necessarily add more functionality..so trying to keep it simple.
I modified a 3 x 4 library pocket card using my Cameo to both lengthen and narrow it. Then I added a birthday cake image so I could have the cake as a cutout and mat some pink paper behind. I think I like the overall look but I am not sure if that is the right placement of the cake what do you think. Should I center it or move it up or move to the other side, I also think this needs a pink scallop border either at the top or the bottom. Opinions are highly welcomed. Oh and I apologize for the photo for whatever reason our weather has decided to be cloudy and muggy when I took this photo.

Kraftin Kimmie - Fussy Cuttin Contest
Well it's been a long while since I have submitted to a contest so with a little free time I thought I would go ahead and try my luck. I love black and red for as a color combo, one of my favorite.
