I came across my Simon Says Stamp circle stamps and to be honest they were a bit difficult to use but sense I have acquired one of those stamp cling boards (no names mentioned) I figured it would be easy peasy to use it.
Thought the Papetrey Ink candles would look cute in the center and at first I was going to make 3 different patterned candles but what the heck don't you normally have the same type of candles just in different colors on your cake?
After getting the main part taken care of , I just needed to work in the rest of the details. Best thing about this card is that I can give it to pretty much anyone. Its nice to have spare cards laying around cause you never know when you'll forget someone and need something at the last minute.
Hi there, this is my little spot in the world where I can share with you some of the passions of my life. I hope you find this a place of inspiration that you can use or share. If you find something you like please feel free to "scraplift me" as they say, you can credit me or not either way I don't mind, just enjoy the journey.

End of the Year Teacher Gift
Well here we are almost at the end of May and the kids will soon be out of school. I teamed up with my dd to see what would make a good gift for the kids teachers and aides. I gasped when she told me 3 teachers and 9 aides, yikes.
I figured the teachers definitely should get the heart of the gift giving and the aides a smaller thank you gift. I looked around on pintrest and saw the usual stuff. I really wanted this to be something more special than the usual gift card, candy, etc type gifts. I really wanted them to have something they would use and enjoy . Then I spied a canvas bag that someone had used vinyl to apply an apple and the teachers name. Spring boarding off that I saw a engraved tag with a quote I really liked. Then not really wanting to do an apple but more heart related that made me do some image searching and finally after combining a bunch of ideas and then putting my twist on it I came up with these canvas bags.
I really love them, they are not ivory but rather a soft white. They are made really well, a nice stiff but flexible canvas, love that they have an inner pocket, a heft zip tab to zip the bag closed and not just handles to hand carry but also an adjustable handle to put over your shoulder, how clever is all that and there is a 3" box gusset at the bottom. They were about $10 ea, so the price was definitely worth it.
If you are interested in purchasing the bags I bought them here, Book Tote Bag
I am considering having the child who will be giving to their teacher leave his handprint on the inside pocket and then I can use vinyl for their names so it gives it even more of a personal touch.
If I have time I also want to make some cute zipper bags out of some type of school themed fabric.
Now I need to run to JoAnns because I need more vinyl to finish the other two bags, plus still not sure what the aides will be getting just yet.

Trip down Memory Lane (Photo Heavy)
Looking back through my archives I was revisiting some of the cards from my past and thought they would be fun to share.

Well that's probably enough for now, I hope you enjoyed looking back at some of my cards from years past.

Character Included
I've had this layout on my desk for awhile and hadn't had time to finish it until now, actually I have a few. This one was all done except the second have of the title. It took me awhile to figure out exactly what I wanted to title this as other than I knew Character was part of it. Finally I got some time and decided it needed to be completed. I only had to cut out the second part of the title, add some journaling and then it was done.
Now I just need to finish my other two.

Birthday card for a guy
Generating a card for my mom for Mother's Day got me to thinking about Father's Day and well that led to me thinking about my hubby's birthday as well.
Guy cards always do seem to be a bit of a challenge don't they. I really wanted to do another stampscape card but those really take some time since I haven't mastered them. So I decided to just go ahead and make a regular card and if I don't find the time for a stampscape one, well at least I'm covered.
I have to stay this card was going another route entirely but I felt it was too bright and whimsical for a guy so I had to switch it up a little. I am always searching through my bits of scraps for some reason rather than grabbing a full sheet, not sure if it's me being lazy or just thrifty. I found this orange striped pp and decided to go in a somewhat nautical color theme.
The Happy was originally across the card below and well it just didn't seem right so I spun it on the side and liked the look so that's why its running vertical rather than horizontal. Still looking a little plain so of course decided it needed a few enamel dots for a finishing touch. And there you have it one guy birthday card.

Happy Mother's Day
Well after my long and fun vacation I realized how soon Mother's Day was and figured I better hop to it and make some sort of card for my mom.
I picked out this Delphinium stamp from Clearly Besotted. I figured a purplish blue flower would be a safe bet. I stamped and colored one flower then stamped, colored and fussy cut another one so I could pop it up a bit.
Looking for the right stamp is crazy when I needed something so small for my tag, thus I opted to hand write it in. Not as pretty but it sure does the trick.

Walt Disney World - Day 6
This was our last day at the parks before we leave bright and early the next day. During dinner at Epcot we made a whim decision to eat breakfast at the Magic Kingdom park. If I've learned one thing at WDW it's have dining reservations. I found an opening at Be Our Guest so we opted to go there, ride a few rides then head back to the hotel before we headed back to Hollywood Studios for the evening.
All in all its been a long hot and humid week filled with a lot of fun and a lot of steps. My overall steps total for this week 98, 905 for a total of 45.11 miles, 21 floors and 272 active minutes.
So I am ready for home

Walt Disney World - Day 5
Today we spent in Epcot, there was a break mid day as it's been a heat wave here in Florida which is a bit out of norm. Going back to the hotel and be able to wash off the hot stickiness and put on fresh clothes just makes the evening time more enjoyable.
It was the Flower and Garden event that drove us here so took quite a few pictures.

Walt Disney World - Day 4 ( sort of )
This morning we took uber to Universal Studios. I figured since we came all this way across country I needed to visit the Harry Potter parks. I say parks because you need 2 tickets to see the entire theming of Harry Potter.
We arrived fairly early and went straight to Hogsmeade and then took the train to Diagon Alley. Loved all the theming and decorated windows. We did dine in the Leaky Cauldron for some breakfast.
Since I really can't do the virtual rides I declined to ride either of the HP ones.
It was getting pretty hot so we went back early to the hotel for some r&r.
Then in the evening we enjoyed the Magic Kingdom Park.
