Card Sewing

We have been having a bit of a heat wave around here, and basically this weekend involved trying to stay cool as possible. I talked dh into going out for a date night Friday night and we saw the movie Heat..so funny..a must see.

Then Saturday was mostly a play day for me and I was able to get a little crafty and Sunday I went to my deep water aerobics class followed by a cruise on the motorbike with a much needed stop at Sonic for a tasty Cherry slushy and then home where I jumped into a cold shower. I am sure I sweated away 10lbs if not more..it was very hot.

Anyhoo, I have had this idea in my head for awhile that involved both quilt making and the sunrise pattern that I keep seeing here and there on layouts and cards. So I finally decided to sit down and attempt this. It was a little more involved that I usually like to be cutting out the various shapes but I did like the look the sewing gave it, it really pulled it together.
