Magical Adventure

Nothing spectacular here, just a basic 9 grid. I was hoping I had some Project Life sheet inserts so I could just slide the squares in but alas no such luck.

These are actually photos of my youngest ds when he was only 3 yrs old. Have to say he was pretty cute...lol

Circle of Fun

Another Disney page. I love that the little one still likes to ride the smaller or "baby" rides although he is no where near a baby but don't tell him that as long as he keeps that youthful spirit he'll never grow old.

The link to this sketch can be found here.

Magical Eats

I had planned on working on my pages yesterday but Tuesday night I got hit with some awful allergies..the kind where you sit sleeping up on the couch because despite meds you can't breathe if you lay down..needless to say I was literally a zombie yesterday between meds and lack of sleep but am happy to report I awoke refreshed today with tons of energy so hope to be banging out some pages today. This was the first.

It's a little busy for my taste but you work with what you have. The sketch can be found here.

So Happy

Yep another Disney page, this one has photos of when my kids were really small cira 1989 so they aren't the best photos in fact I would say half my roll of prints had dbl exposure on them..which is interesting that you used to be able to do that with film cameras more often than one would think.

I do like being able to use up some of my project life cards so to be that's a double bonus.

The sketch can be found here.

Tigger Ears

Well hate to say it but another Disney layout seems that's what photos I have on hand the most of anyways.

This sketch called for hexagons which I didn't have any in a die shape and too lazy to crank up my cameo so I just used an octagon one. Honestly I feel like some of these sketches are more suited for digital scrapping than physical especially when it comes to picture sizes. That is where I am struggling the most with the sketches.

Anyhoo this was for sketch #19 part A and can be found here

Shadow Man

This was definitely a hard sketch to follow, the original can be found here and the twist was to use a monochromatic color scheme.

I really spent a lot of time working on this one and finally after days of playing around, ignoring it, etc I managed to come up with my interpretation of it. I have to say this came out way better than I expected from where I first started with it, so I am pretty happy about that.

Carsland

For this challenge I was supposed to use giant lettering and for bonus pts if I did a double page, so I did. I found a bunch of random chipboard letters and decided to paint them and mimic the pp colors. The diecuts are really quite cute, the black is a velvet paper and it wants me to buy more they were from Paper Wizard, in fact now that I am churning out all these Disney pages I feel like I'd like some more titles and diecuts.

I really love the color combination on these pages.

A little Magic

Another sketch challenge, this one was fun; sketch, theme and colors. I wanted to use my Disney themed pp but lets face black, red, yellow doesn't quite go with HW themed pictures so I used what else HW pp, specifically Bella Blvd. And hard to find right picutres but I thought I'd go with documenting one of my favorite rides and time of year at Disneyland.

The challenge and sketch can be found here.

Believe

This was another sketch challenge for the 2peasrefugees sketchtember #7 challenge. I am quite frankly impressed with the sketches and how it has motivated me to get these pages done. I have contemplated several times about all the stuff I have in my room and what will happen to it if I should die or perhaps I should just sell it if I'm not going to scrapbook anymore, frankly I didn't want to stop and told myself I had years to still complete these pages but yet I just hadn't touched them so this is kind of a relief for me, to know I can get them done.

SO HAPPY

This layout was for another sketchtemper; number 10. You can find the sketch here. I have to say I am keeping up fairly well, I say that because I am still down 2.5 sketches, but hopefully closing in. Seems like I spend more time looking for stuff than actually scrapbooking and sad thing is I found this photo but none of the rest from the trip so me thinking I didn't print them sent them off to be printed. Then 20 minutes later I found the photos...arrrgh! Why, Why, Why.

Any hoo I really love the expression on my dgs {on the left} face..it just says it all IMO.

Disney Page

Well I took on the challenge for another sketch which can be found here

It's a 2 part and so far I only have completed part A with both twists of using vellum and ribbon.

I really was at a loss of what to do then of course I always have a ton of Disney pages I'm wanting to do so I went that route.

Not sure if you're a Disney fan but of course I am and it's no mystery it's changed over the years and this of course was me paying tribute to all those great rides and attractions I remember.

Disney Layout - Magic Starts Here

The last of my Disney layouts from the Expo. Looks like we are missing a kid but Zack was hiding his face that day. Refused to be photographed so we just squished together and tried to make a nice picture for Marshall.

Disney Layout - Feel The Magic

I love this photo of my youngest dgs, the typical mouse ear shot; who can resist that. I did add in a few star sequins as if Mickey was throwing magic his way since I know he certainly was feeling it watching the Mark Twain boat arrive.

Disney Layout - Mousy Christmas

I was fortunate enough to be able to attend the Scrapbook Expo over the weekend. My bff and I have been attending two shows a year for at least the past 10 years.

We used to just go for the crop on Friday but when they started adding a Thursday night Make and Take we started attending that as well, not that we do the Make N Takes but it gives us the opportunity for more crop time.

I think planning and prepping for these crops are one of the hardest things ever. You have to pull your supplies, figure out what you are going to work on and make sure you have pictures printed.
Then you need to balance bringing enough materials to keep you busy without over packing or under packing; I have yet to master it but I keep trying.

I brought a variety of things to work on because you do get tired of doing the same thing for the entire time. One of the things I wanted to do was make some layouts and I hadn't done a thing with any of my Disney photos so I printed off some of those and made sure I had cardstock, pp, some embellies and whatever else that was Disney themed.

This is one of the layouts I was able to complete. I did do a bit of shopping while I was there and picked up some laser die cuts. One of these was a title which was perfect for our Holiday trip last year.

I still need to my journaling in but at least it's 99% completed.

Love all the layering and of course I popped up a few pieces for more dimension.
