Pretty In Pink

Last kitty card using my MFTS selfie stamps cause they're just gosh darn cute. Paired with some magenta pink heart paper and cardstock to match. I had those adorable heart bubbles never used just begging to be added to a selfie card and have to say I just love those two little guys.

Well that's it and I do hope my friend has a very successful event helping out the dog shelter she volunteers for.

Love Kitty

Another kitty card and decided to use some watercolors for the background this time. It does help to keep the card simple but does take time to let it dry in between colors. I just used my distress ink refills to drop a few droplets of color on the water color cardstock then used a water bottle to spritz some water and dilute the colors and a straw to blow it around a bit. And if you get too much or don't like where the colors going a paper towel works wonders at pulling color up.

Shot through the heart

Well decided to make a few cat cards for the charity event, I couldn't let the kitties go unrepresented. And I adore these two little guys in their basket. I have to say I also find that I am more interested in using stencils every since my card workshop back in December last year.

However, why is it you never have the things you want, and alas I'm trying to use what I have stencil wise but that's one thing I don't have much of go figure. So I am keeping my eye out to add more to my collection because it is a cheap multi-purpose supply to have on hand.

Using some distress inks it was fast and easy to make this background.

Love You

Repeating the same technique as on my love stuck card, I split my diecut white cardstock panel using my snow die which I believe is from Simon Says Stamp. After splitting the white card apart I trimmed it to the 4.25 x 5.5 card size and overlayed that onto the very colorful pp.

I diecut the love diecut 3 times and glued the stack together to give it a bit of dimension. I did not stack and glue the dog, he is simply stamped, colored and diecut then popped up using foam squares.

Then because he needed a little heart I added an enamel heart to finish off the card.

This is the last of my Dog Valentine's Day cards for my friends fundraiser. I hope she does well. I am looking at my cat stamps and we shall see if I am successful at making a few more cards while my fabric beckons me to get started on those Dr. Seuss Tops and Dresses.

Love Struck

Ok now I'm getting a little fancy.  On this card I used my snow hill die to cut the white card stock panel, then split the two pieces open and trimmed the white card stock to fit the 4.25 x 5.5 card size. I then popped up those white panels onto a piece of pp after stamping the struck word and adding the die cut letter.

For the dog his is diecut and colored, then I die cut 2 more images stacking them together with glue to give him a bit of depth and thickness to him and finished the card off with a few enamel hearts from my stash.

Be Mine

As you've probably noticed I am using Tim Holtz crazy dogs quite a bit, but between MFTS and TH I don't have really any other dog stamps so it's a bit repetitious to see the same images over and over. Again very clean and simple card. I just stamped and colored the image and stamped some hearts and voila instant Valentine's Day card.

Snoopy

Who doesn't love Snoopy and Woodstock? Such an adorable pair. I really didn't do much with this card other than color in a few accents after stamping the image onto a diecut tag and tying on a little bit of glitter string. I did also pop up the tag for a bit of dimension but other than that it was a quick and easy card.

Love Day in Blue

At first I wanted to use some pink pattern paper but with the blue sky and green grass it was apparent to me that it just wasn't as great as when I first envisioned it, thus I found this blue heart paper that I think really made the card work.

And happy accident I stamped and cut the strips for the card and when I set them on the card to see how to place them I really liked how they were, again not what my first vision was when making the strips.

Just goes to show you don't need pink and red to make a Valentine's Day card.

One more slim line box card

This is another slim line out of the box cards from MFTS. Plus their awesome Lucky Dog stamp and die set colored with my trusty copics. Gotta say it's simple enough to make but there is a bit more coloring since you tend to make a scene rather than a solo stamp.

And Pet Valentine Day cards continue

Now that all the kids and grandkids have gone home, the Christmas decorations have been properly put away and the garage cleaned out and organized it is time once again to focus on some creativity time.

Thus I am still making pet valentine day cards. I figure I will do a few more days worth and then I need to switch gears and get some Birthday cards done as well as sewing since Dr. Seuss is one of my most popular items and I haven't really done anything for my store in a long long time.

Mixing a bit of watercolor with Tim Holtz's dogs I was able to conjure up this cute and funny guy.

The sentiment is from saavystamps where I picked it up no idea.
