Baby Claire

Now that I am getting all these pages done there's a stack sitting on my floor waiting to be put into some albums so I need to set aside some time hopefully in the near future for that.

The month is almost done and I am so glad I joined the challenge. I love getting my pages finally done. So much so I decided to try it again for October.

Magical Adventure

Nothing spectacular here, just a basic 9 grid. I was hoping I had some Project Life sheet inserts so I could just slide the squares in but alas no such luck.

These are actually photos of my youngest ds when he was only 3 yrs old. Have to say he was pretty cute...lol

Circle of Fun

Another Disney page. I love that the little one still likes to ride the smaller or "baby" rides although he is no where near a baby but don't tell him that as long as he keeps that youthful spirit he'll never grow old.

The link to this sketch can be found here.

Sweet Sisters

Of all the layouts I have done so far ths month I;m gonna say I think this is one of my favorites. Such adorable photos and I love the wood background. I am a sucker for those backgrounds, I think I bought 4 sheets of it when I saw it at Joanns.

The sketch challenge can be found here

Magical Eats

I had planned on working on my pages yesterday but Tuesday night I got hit with some awful allergies..the kind where you sit sleeping up on the couch because despite meds you can't breathe if you lay down..needless to say I was literally a zombie yesterday between meds and lack of sleep but am happy to report I awoke refreshed today with tons of energy so hope to be banging out some pages today. This was the first.

It's a little busy for my taste but you work with what you have. The sketch can be found here.

Devour

I am a little behind on my sketches, not too bad I think just 3 and hopefully I can get some crafty time in today.

This is a layout of my youngest dgd who is about 18 months, she was handed a cupcake at my dgs birthday party and she pretty much did what the title says, devour it. It was kind of comical.

Smile

I love it whenever I can make a double page because I feel like I get more photos scrapped. Granted a single page is easy and only requires 3 photos or less but when I get a double layout then I know I can cram pack it with more ephotos specially when I have random shots like these, thus less pages in the long run if I had to do them individually.

While most of my pages are about my grandkids it's nice to get one done of my son who is now what like 27 years old. So seeing his cute little face in these photos brings me a lot of joy. My journaling was about his smile which he does all the time. Even when faced in trouble he has a nervous smile. It's gotten him in trouble a few times in school but thank goodness he has had principals who understood.

cutie

Ok enough with the Disney photos how about a cute baby photo instead. I mean who doesn't like a cute baby, yes yes I am being a prejudice gramma but that's what I'm supposed to be.

This is for part B of the sketchtember #19 ( 2fer). The twist was to distress your pages or rip them, I choose to distress and the sketch did show sewing so I opted for that too.

You can find the sketch here

So Happy

Yep another Disney page, this one has photos of when my kids were really small cira 1989 so they aren't the best photos in fact I would say half my roll of prints had dbl exposure on them..which is interesting that you used to be able to do that with film cameras more often than one would think.

I do like being able to use up some of my project life cards so to be that's a double bonus.

The sketch can be found here.

Tigger Ears

Well hate to say it but another Disney layout seems that's what photos I have on hand the most of anyways.

This sketch called for hexagons which I didn't have any in a die shape and too lazy to crank up my cameo so I just used an octagon one. Honestly I feel like some of these sketches are more suited for digital scrapping than physical especially when it comes to picture sizes. That is where I am struggling the most with the sketches.

Anyhoo this was for sketch #19 part A and can be found here

Shadow Man

This was definitely a hard sketch to follow, the original can be found here and the twist was to use a monochromatic color scheme.

I really spent a lot of time working on this one and finally after days of playing around, ignoring it, etc I managed to come up with my interpretation of it. I have to say this came out way better than I expected from where I first started with it, so I am pretty happy about that.

Mr. Charmer

As soon as I saw this sketch for Sketchtemper #16 I knew instantly I wanted to use some colorful pp I had just picked up from Hobby Lobby and the perfect picture was of my youngest grandson because he is a bright and bubbly little guy and well lets just say this was by far the easiest layout I have done.

More Than Brothers

It's been a busy week so far and it's only Wednesday. Having a hard time getting any layouts done this week and I am now officially 4 sketches behind including this one.

I just got a bunch of studio shot back from the printers so it was good inspiration for me to use on this sketch challenge #17

I spent some time yesterday altering a pair of Mickey Ears so my daughter would have something to wear with her Haunted Mansion maid costume for their upcoming Disney HW party trip. I did  manage to squeeze out this layout last night and have another one two thirds of they way done, but before I can scrap today I need to go make dh a chocolate pie (his favorite) for being such a trooper while I've been so busy.

Pool Time

Wanted to make sure you had something for today even though I'm out and about running errands. This double page was a sketch challenge and I had some extremely old KI Memories pp that I thought worked really well with the pool unicorn.

Disney Vacation

Well yesterday I was busy at a local art show. I found this great place that lets me sell my etsy stuff for 4 hrs with no overhead fee, which means I didn't scrap yesterday and today was all about my etsy shop loading and listing new items. I orginally started with little girls skirts but now I have boys button up shirts, tote bags, zipper bags, canvas bags, baby bibs and not yet uploaded burp cloths. So another day of no scrapping which means I am now 2 sketches behind. And tomorrow is my errand day so hoping I can manage some time in afterwards.

Any hoo this is part B of the sketchtember #5 challenge. I really had to think long and hard about this one. Those triangles were definitely out of my comfort zone. The twists are vellum and thread which I was able to incoporate both.

Carsland

For this challenge I was supposed to use giant lettering and for bonus pts if I did a double page, so I did. I found a bunch of random chipboard letters and decided to paint them and mimic the pp colors. The diecuts are really quite cute, the black is a velvet paper and it wants me to buy more they were from Paper Wizard, in fact now that I am churning out all these Disney pages I feel like I'd like some more titles and diecuts.

I really love the color combination on these pages.

Angel In Disguise

This was part B to the sketchtemper #12 challenge  (find it here). So all of these challenges come with twists and the challenge that contains 2 sketches have a twist for each one so you get extra pts for using both twists on one layout.

Lately I have been forgetting all about those twists so on this one I remembered, I added both a glitter bird and flower and then the other twist was embossing or texture so I embossed the Angel letters with those 2x2 embossing plates from QK, never thought I'd use those again or maybe I did and thus I never purged myself of them.

Anyhoo I lucked out with this sketch because I had a die (from papertrey ink) that created my stripes for me so I just had to launch off of that..and of course finding the right photo. Only thing I didn't do here which I don't like to is omit some journaling but I guess once in a while is ok.

A little Magic

Another sketch challenge, this one was fun; sketch, theme and colors. I wanted to use my Disney themed pp but lets face black, red, yellow doesn't quite go with HW themed pictures so I used what else HW pp, specifically Bella Blvd. And hard to find right picutres but I thought I'd go with documenting one of my favorite rides and time of year at Disneyland.

The challenge and sketch can be found here.

Believe

This was another sketch challenge for the 2peasrefugees sketchtember #7 challenge. I am quite frankly impressed with the sketches and how it has motivated me to get these pages done. I have contemplated several times about all the stuff I have in my room and what will happen to it if I should die or perhaps I should just sell it if I'm not going to scrapbook anymore, frankly I didn't want to stop and told myself I had years to still complete these pages but yet I just hadn't touched them so this is kind of a relief for me, to know I can get them done.

SO HAPPY

This layout was for another sketchtemper; number 10. You can find the sketch here. I have to say I am keeping up fairly well, I say that because I am still down 2.5 sketches, but hopefully closing in. Seems like I spend more time looking for stuff than actually scrapbooking and sad thing is I found this photo but none of the rest from the trip so me thinking I didn't print them sent them off to be printed. Then 20 minutes later I found the photos...arrrgh! Why, Why, Why.

Any hoo I really love the expression on my dgs {on the left} face..it just says it all IMO.

Big Dipper Sketchtember #4

If you're interested the sketch can be found here

I found this sketch to be hard with my photo placement since my one ride photo was quite large to begin with. I trimmed it quite a bit and I think rounding the corners helped somewhat or at least that's what I telling myself.

I will say I am loving using up all these supplies I have had for eons, like the stickers from echo park's all about a boy. My dream is to get my stash reduced by a third..but I think that's a big WISH.

Disney Page

Well I took on the challenge for another sketch which can be found here

It's a 2 part and so far I only have completed part A with both twists of using vellum and ribbon.

I really was at a loss of what to do then of course I always have a ton of Disney pages I'm wanting to do so I went that route.

Not sure if you're a Disney fan but of course I am and it's no mystery it's changed over the years and this of course was me paying tribute to all those great rides and attractions I remember.

Hello Chum

Well all this scrapping layouts I nearly forgot about my grandson's birthday party, it has a shark theme so I instantly knew this Avery Elle Hello Chum would be the perfect fit for his gifts. I kept the colors blue/grey with a touch of black and have to say I didn't like it at first but I think its grown on me, but no matter it's the boy who will love it I'm sure

\And in addition to making a card I just finished frosting his adorable cupcakes. The sharks are finger puppets for the kids from Oriental Trading Company.

2pearefugees - Claire Bear

Still working on my grand daughters layouts and thought I'd use some of my mists and pastes. I completely went girly on this one but I loved all the bright pinks. It's been such a long time since I've been able to do anything girl related and especially little girl.

2peasrefugees - READ

Another layout completed and I love using up all my old old old products and even had the opportunity to use my ginormous Big shot to cut the scallop square. Funny how it's the little things like a challenge to make you appreciate why you bought all this stuff to begin with. I really was worried I wouldn't be using any of all my supplies.

I didn't bother journaling on this page because it kind of felt like it didn't need any further explanations.

2peasrefugees - Sweet Caroline

Ok, no sketch for this page but was able to meet quite a few challenges. This is my oldest dgd. I was able to use my embelly challenge which was flowers, easy enough but also met the song title challenge, which I admit wasn't hard to do. Best of all it feels good to get pages done and happy to be back to being creative for a change.

2peasrefugees - SKETCHTEMBER SKETCH #1: Lets Go Fly A Kite

This is another layout for the September challenges. It's nice to be able to scrap some pink for the girls after doing boys layouts for the longest time. The twist on this challenge was to color something so I did just that for that shimmery pink flower. It originally was a nice peachy color but didn't work for this page so first I misted with some glimmer mist which made it a bright pink color so I toned it down with some perfect pearls to get a color more suited for this page.

And the sketch can be found here.

2peasrefugees - Sketchtempber #2

Ok I am going to get back into scrapbooking and cardmaking, I hope anyways.

To kickstart this effort I joined the September challenge over at 2peasrefugees.

For my first challenge I opted for this sketch

This was my take on that challenge. Feels good to make something crafty besides all the sewing I've been doing.
